I bite into the succulent maize at my family reunion. Its juice fills my mouth, its has so much favor it feels like I’m biting into Heaven. “Whoever bought the corn did a good job picking it out.” I say to my grandma. She replies, “You gonna turn into a piece of corn if the only thing you eat is corn.” My grandma always nags to me that I will turn into a potatoes or piece of corn if that all I eat. O well, I wouldn’t mind. I think it would be pretty cool. I would deject myself out of the potatoes peels by eating my way out. I act in a defiant way and go get another piece of corn. I don’t care if she gets mad, I know by the end of day she will still see me in nativity manner. My whole genealogy is at the family reunion it’s the first time there has been no one missing. I’m sitting perpendicular from my cousin, Brianna, who I cant stand. She’s no better then anyone else but for some reason she thinks she is. The whole family has dispersed to the other side of the park. I start walking over that side to get away from my annoying little cousin.
